Florida Retail Federation endorses Paul Renner in HD 24 special election

The Florida Retail Federation (FRF) today announced it is endorsing Paul Renner in the upcoming special election in House District 24.

District 24 includes Flagler County and parts of St. Johns and Volusia counties. Travis Hutson resigned House District 24 to campaign for former state Sen. John Thrasher’s Senate District 6 after he left to become Florida State University president.

Renner served 23 years in the U.S. Navy. He is an attorney and partner at Milam Howard Nicandri Dees and Gillam, P.A., where he represents many businesses. He is active in the Northeast Florida community and participates in a number of civic and professional organizations.

“We are proud to endorse Paul Renner for the Florida House. He is a proven leader who understands that government should not be burdensome on its citizens,” said FRF Director of Government Affairs Melissa Joiner Ramba, who manages FRF’s political activities. “Paul Renner is committed to helping our retailers grow their businesses.”

The HD 24 GOP special primary is Jan. 27, with the general election on April 7.
