Floridians owe a deep debt of gratitude to the men and women who have put their lives on the line to protect our freedoms, and it’s our responsibility to ensure they receive the respect, care, and support they’ve earned.
As Speaker, Paul supported funding for veterans’ healthcare, education, and workforce transition programs, recognizing that many veterans face unique challenges as they return to civilian life. He also backed initiatives to expand mental health resources, streamline access to state benefits, and invest in Florida’s network of state veterans’ nursing homes. That funding includes a comprehensive first in the nation study to use Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment (HBOT) to treat PTSD. If successful, this treatment could help anyone who has suffered trauma.
Paul believes Florida is and should remain the most veteran-friendly state in the nation, not just in words, but in action. Whether it’s access to quality care, education benefits, job opportunities, or housing, Paul will continue fighting to make sure Florida’s veterans have the resources they need and the dignity and respect they deserve.
