The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness begins with life itself. Under Paul’s leadership, the Florida Legislature stood for the most vulnerable among us by defending the right to life for thousands of unborn boys and girls.

But protecting life doesn’t stop at birth. Paul understands that raising a child comes with increased costs and real challenges. That’s why he helped deliver bold tax relief for Florida families, from tax-free diapers and baby essentials to the back-to-school sales tax holiday. 

In today’s digital age, protecting children also means confronting the dangers of social media. Many platforms are designed with addictive technology to keep users online for hours a day.  As a result, children are facing epidemic rates of depression, anxiety, self-harm, and even suicide. For Paul, one of the most important legislative victories during his time as Speaker of the House was putting the safety and well-being of Florida’s children above the interests of Big Tech and shielding children from harmful and inappropriate online content.

Paul believes parents, not government, should be the primary authority in their children’s lives, and he has consistently championed policies that respect and reinforce parental rights. He’s committed to protecting our children, supporting moms and dads, and building up strong families as the foundation of a strong Florida.
