Renner was the first to call for Cory Mills to resign last year and now is the first gubernatorial candidate to endorse Mills’ opponent.
PALM COAST, FL- Today, in a reaffirmation of his public call for the resignation of Rep. Cory Mills, Paul Renner is the first major gubernatorial candidate to endorse Mills’ opponent Ryan Elijah.
“Republicans lose when they choose power over principle and thus end up with neither,” Paul Renner said. “Last fall, I said Congressman Cory Mills should resign because public office demands accountability and public trust. Cory Mills is a disgrace to the Republican brand and should call his campaign quits.”
Renner also made clear that Ryan Elijah is the better choice for Congress and will put the GOP on track to retain this important seat.
“Ryan Elijah is the conservative leader this district deserves. He has the character, conviction, and commitment to fight for our shared Republican values and restore trust in public service. I’m proud to endorse Ryan Elijah and encourage Republicans to unite behind his campaign.”
Renner concluded by calling on Republican voters to choose leaders who will serve with honor, keep their promises, and advance a strong conservative agenda for our great state.
