As Congressman Byron Donalds tours the state, he’s selling nonstop growth as inevitable— whether Floridians like it or not.
But most don’t.
Rapid growth has changed the Sunshine State, and plenty of residents are uneasy. Costs are rising, driven by demand. Housing and insurance are squeezing families. Many are moving out of state seeking more affordable places in which to live. And recent unemployment reports suggest the economy may be cooling slightly.
Donalds embraces more growth to make Florida “bigger, better, and brighter than it has ever been.”
It’s obvious he’s been hiding behind the lens of a FOX News Channel camera so long that he’s out of touch with the needs of average Floridians. As a result, voters have yet to hear specifics on how he will tackle today’s affordability crisis hitting retirees, workers, and small businesses.
This race is becoming a clear referendum on what Donalds is quacking about:
Should Florida keep chasing population growth at all costs, or focus on making life affordable for the people already here?
Congressman Donalds, you warn the state could “choke on our growth.” The question is—what are you actually going to do about it?
