Renner Receives “A” Rating for Outstanding Support of Second Amendment
Palm Coast, Fla. – Republican Candidate Paul Renner today announced that the National Rifle Association (NRA) and Unified Sportsmen of Florida have endorsed him in his special election campaign for Florida House District 24, which will be held on January 27, 2015.
“The National Rifle Association of America and Unified Sportsmen of Florida are pleased to inform you that both organizations have endorsed you in the special election for Florida House District 24,” said Marion Hammer, past president of the NRA and executive director of the Unified Sportsmen of Florida. “Your outstanding support of Second Amendment and self-defense issues combined with your solid pro-sportsmen, pro-freedom record have earned you our support and our endorsement.”
“I am very honored to receive the endorsement of the National Rifle Association and Unified Sportsmen of Florida, and to have an ‘A’ rating from the NRA and a ‘Pro-Gun’ designation from Unified Sportsmen based on my strong support of the Second Amendment,” said Renner. “If elected to House District 24, residents in our community can rest assured that I will fight to protect and preserve their constitutional right to defend themselves and their family.” Florida House District 24 includes Flagler County and parts of St. Johns and Volusia Counties.
About Paul Renner
Renner was raised in Northeast Florida and is a graduate of Davidson College and the University of Florida, Levin College of Law. He served 23-years in the US Navy on both active duty and in the reserves, including deployments in support of combat operations during Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and in Afghanistan in 2011. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal, among others. He also served as an assistant state attorney, earning a strong reputation for his successful efforts to prosecute serious felony offenses.
Renner is an attorney and partner at Milam Howard Nicandri Dees and Gillam, P.A., where he represents many businesses. He is active in the Northeast Florida community and participates in a number of civic and professional organizations, including his Rotary, as well as the VFW and the Navy League.
